No. Free and Pro run detection and masking in your browser. Pro only contacts OmniShield to verify a license key — never to upload chat content.

How does Pro unlock work?

After a one-time purchase you receive a license key by email. Paste it in the extension popup under “Enter license key.” The same Chrome listing unlocks Pro — no second download.

What is context-aware masking?

Normal (Free) masking detects risky strings and can replace them with opaque tokens. Context-aware masking (Pro) uses format-preserving and structure-aware replacements so the AI still understands “this was an API key / card / email” without ever seeing the real value — better answers, same privacy.

Is Pro a subscription?

No. Pro is a one-time purchase ($1.00 launch price, normally $49.00).
